We are so excited to be hosting our first trunk at Saks Fifth Avenue in San Francisco on April 27 and 28. San Francisco is one of our favorite cities, and while we are there we are looking forward to seeing the Oscar de la Renta exhibition at the De Young Museum. While I attended the opening in Savannah last February, this exhibition (which is curated by Vogue‘s perennially fabulous André Leon Talley) includes even more of de la Renta’s decadent ensembles. Penelope Cruz’s Met Gala gown is included, as is Anne Hathaway’s Tonys gown, two dresses I feel lucky to have in my own collection. I have always loved the above Steven Meisel image (from a 2010 issue of Vogue) which is also featured in the exhibition. As a longtime collector and fan, I’m thrilled at the opportunity to “meet” these famous frocks in-person! Vogue has a wonderful sneak peek online if you are interested in learning more.
