For only the third time in its history, Edouard Manet’s famous “Olympia” has left Paris for Manet/Degas, a new exhibit on view at the Met Fifth Avenue that examines the relationship between two of the modern art movement’s biggest stars. On view through January 7, the new exhibit features 160 pieces explored in context of the artists’ close and often contentious relationship. I was fortunate enough to sneak in a visit to the show while I was in New York recently and snapped some pics of my favorite pieces. If you’re travelling through the city for the holidays, Manet/Degas is truly a can’t miss! Read more about the show and the artists here.
