With over 500 pieces, London’s V&A Museum presents the largest collection of Christian Dior ever made accessible to the public in “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams“. 200 couture gowns and 157 never-before-displayed objects dazzle in an exhibit that showcases both Dior’s original work and how his legacy impacted succeeding creative directors of the house. Pieces from Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri demonstrate the brand’s enduring ability to create fantasy in a time we’re too often reminded of harsh reality.

What makes the exhibit particularly at home in London is a section showing off Dior’s relationship with British royalty, the crown jewel being the very dress M. Dior created for Princess Margaret’s 21st birthday.
